In the first round of the China Open Marcos Baghdatis faced Zeng, Shao Xuan. Marcos won the match 2-0 sets (7-6, 7-5). In the second round Marcos claimed the victory against Boris Pashanski. The score was 2-0 sets(6-4, 6-4) to Marcos! Marcos is now in the quarter final where he will play Ivan Ljubicic!
