Marcos: Yes, it was tough and I played well. What was important was I won and went to the 2nd round. The next few days I will work harder and be stronger. If I was still not doing my best, I would not go farther.

Marcos: He was confident. I don’t know how he usually does. This was my first time to play against him. I was not at my best.

Marcos: I always kiss my necklace when I win the game. It was a gift from my brother and I love it.

Marcos Baghdatis in the China Open

In the first round of the China Open Marcos Baghdatis faced Zeng, Shao Xuan. Marcos won the match 2-0 sets (7-6, 7-5). In the second round Marcos claimed the victory against Boris Pashanski. The score was 2-0 sets(6-4, 6-4) to Marcos! Marcos is now in the quarter final where he will play Ivan Ljubicic!
