Baghdatis at Chennai Open

Marcos played his first match yesterday against Robin Haase (no 114). Unfortunately Marcos lost 2-0 sets!(6-3, 6-4).

Marco's first Masters semi-final

After beating Ivan Ljubicic and Tommy Robredo, Marcos managed to reach the semi-final of the BNP Paribas. In the semi he played world no 2 Rafael Nadal. After playing amazing tennis, Marcos won the first set 6-4. In the second he was up 3-1, however his strength ran out and lost it 6-4. He lost the 3rd set quite easily 6-3. Final result was Baghdatis 1 - Nadal 2. In the final, Nadal lost to David Nalbadian in 2 straight sets.(6-4,6-0) A breathtaking perfomance by the Arentine!

Baghdatis at BNP Paribas Masters

Marcos has entered the BNP Paribas Masters in France! He has already played Juan Carlos Ferrero. Marcos won easily, 2-0 sets. In the second round he will play Ivan Ljubicic (no 15).

Baghdatis loses to Nieminem

Marcos has lost in the semi-finals against Jarkko Nieminem 2-0 sets. (7-6,6-2).

Nieminem is next

Marcos has won Mathieu earlier today 2-o sets! The first set was quite easy for Marcos he managed to break his oponents serve twice!(6-2) However the things got harder in the second set, he won it in the tie break 7-5. In the semi-final Marcos will play Nieminem. Jarko Nieminem is currently ranked no 29 in the ATP. In the quarter finals, Nieminem won Fernando Gonzalez. (no8)

Marcos made the quarter finals in Basel

Marcos won Agustin Calleri last night, 2-1 sets (6-7, 6-3, 6-3). In the quarter finals he will play Paul-Henri Mathieu. The Frenchman is currently ranked no 21 in the ATP and in the tournament he is seeded no 8!

Baghdatis in Switzerland
